Sigid'm Hana'ak, the "matriarch," literally translated as, "different woman." She holds within her the txanii adaawg'm pte'ex (entire - history - true tellings of clans).
Of the four pte'eg'm Tsm'syen (clans of those inside river of mists - juice of the clouds), sigid'm hana'ak holds the Ayaawk adat Adaawx within her womb.
Gug'wilxya'ansk (to pass down - for all-time distribution) is our familial bloodlines, or Pte'ex. Our families history existed before time began. Those of the clan/house/peoples of particular gug'wilya'ansk are free to use and/or share adaawx, songs, dances, crests and names relating to their mother's history.
If you do not belong within a particular clan or house group, then you need permission from the tribe and na'a sigid'm hana'ak to use such gug'wilya'ansk. These crest/songs/dances/adaawx ada maalsk are used for identification, strength of claims, and trade value in luulgit (feasting - ceremonial - governance). Compensation in wine'ex (food) are acceptable, as well as monetary tokens and songs and stories of equal value. These are exchanges of goods and knowledge in reciprocity.
🪶 If you belong to Ganhada (possessed of safe harbour), then feel free to rock your Gaax (raven) crests proudly!

Gug'wilxya'ansk
Gug'wilxya'ansk include names, crests, songs and dances; they are tied to our genetic signature; uniquely identified with Pte'ex (clans):
Lax Gibuu - proper translation being developed
Ganhada (possessed of safe harbour)
Lax Skiik (on a high place)
Gispwudwada (prefix for a place of dwelling - to transform - from one clan to another)
It is only hana'ak (women) that perpetuate pte'exg'm waap (clan of house); sigid'm hana'ak is the Ayaawk (ancestral matriarchal law) in flesh.
Sigid'm hana'ak decide which direction the house takes, taking into consideration relationships with other wuwaap adat dzepk (many house groups and - he makes himself crests).
Dzepk (he makes himself crests), commonly referred to as "crests," hold the particular story of your mother's Adaawx, how she and her family got to this present time and space. The multitude of dzpek correlate with many stories/songs/dances. Dzepk are crafted over eons as families move throughout the land, recording detailed history up to, and including, the present or maalsk (ones story - personal or common narrative).

Remember, all these particular stories tie back to pte'ex. We were all once in the Waap'm Sim'oogit'm Laxha (house of - real declarer person of - heavens), as one family, and we decided not to follow Ayaawk and we were asked to leave, thus we descended from the heavens. The crests, houses, and names delineate higher levels of detail as to where we are now.
The holders of crests, and names are obligated to attain a level of adeptness in Ayaawk ada Adaawx that takes a lifetime to culminate. From a young age, we were closely guided and watched by sigid'm hana'ak, to ensure we upheld Ayaawk in the greatest degree. So that land, peoples, and connection to the heavens were as strong as they could possibly be.
Under meritocracy, it all comes down to the individual as they attempt to operate within pte'ex. You may be in line for a "big name," but it is up to ones actions and wise application of Ayaawk which determine the true strength of a name.
I loved the article as clean and concise with great information. N'toyaxsn gunalcheesh
